Captins Courageous Sailing Adventures

Captains Courageous facilitates life-changing sailing adventures for individuals and teams who want to learn, grow and inspire themselves as leaders, team members and human beings.

Since 1990, participants aboard our sailboats have quickly learned what’s at the heart of effective and fulfilling attitudes and actions; and they've learned how to bring more heart into their daily lives … whether as corporate executives, project team members, or individuals wanting more out of life. We call our adventures “Captains Courageous.” Roughly translated from old French, it means “leaders of heart.”

For your business, Captains Courageous sailing adventures develop trust, cooperation and perspective for leaders and teams who are challenged to quickly develop strategy and tactics, communicate openly and clearly, and focus on what matters most. We offer customized 1.5- to 5-day adventures in leadership development and team development, in our home waters near Miami and the Florida Keys, or in another locale of your choosing.

For individuals, our transformative growth experiences expand comfort zones, deepen relationships, enhance communications, and enrich trust and cooperation, all in the context of a tropical sailing adventure. We offer 4- to 14-day adventures in the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and other tropical locations throughout the world.

Captains Courageous welcomes you aboard!!!

IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM MARTHA BOSTON

Dear Friends of Captains Courageous,

We are on a new and very different kind of journey just now.  After last year’s British Virgin Islands sailing adventure, Peter and I continued sailing the Caribbean aboard s/v Lightheart,  learning more about ourselves as sailors, partners and human beings, and more about other potential Captains Courageous venues and opportunities. In November, however, I had an accident on the island of Grenada, resulting in a burst vertebra with spinal cord damage.  I’ve had two major surgeries to ameliorate the spinal cord issues and to insert a significant amount of titanium to reinforce my spine.  After several months of rehab and lots of TLC, I’m doing great - moving about quite well and often un-assisted; but my healing still has a ways to go.  I’m not yet able to sail at this point, so Captains Courageous Sailing Adventures are on hold for a while more.  We are currently in beautiful Santa Barbara, California where, in addition to rehab, we are focusing on discovering how and where to best deploy ourselves and our resources after I’ve further recovered.  Our experiences of the last year seem to be giving birth to a whole new dimension for Captains Courageous, and we are exploring a wide range of exciting possibilities.

Meanwhile, our land-based coaching and consulting programs continue to be available to you, so this may be a great time for you to taste the adventure of being a Courageous Captain without getting your feet wet!

We will post here and on Facebook when the next phase of Captains Courageous Adventures is ready to share.  Meanwhile, please feel free to stay in touch with us by email or Facebook or a message from this website’s contact page.  We truly look forward to hearing from you.

Wishing you fair winds,

Martha Boston
