Captains Courageous began as a dream.
What if we did a heart-centered personal development experience ...... on a sailboat in the Caribbean?!
After ten years of leading personal growth workshops in conference rooms around the world, Martha Boston answered that question with action. She gathered a group of adventurous souls aboard a Caribbean sailboat for a week, and Captains Courageous was born.
The name comes from the Old French roots of the words, meaning “Leaders of Heart.” It is that quality that shows up time and again in Captains Courageous adventures - people eager to lead their lives with hearts more open, and willing to extend their hearts to others.
In the beginning, Captains Courageous sailed all around the eastern Caribbean, the Bahamas and Florida - with business executives honing their leadership skills, with colleagues on team-building missions, with youngsters, with families, and with groups of friends - most whom had come aboard as strangers.
In recent years, Captains Courageous has come ashore to offer resort-based adventures, business retreats and trainings, as well as individual and team coaching. Captains Courageous offers a range of online experiences are that are powerfully unique and engaging - the next best thing to being there.
Captains Courageous is currently based in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Building on over 40 years of designing and delivering heart-centered adventures for those who want to learn and grow, Captains Courageous is ready to take your heart where it wants to go.
